BMC Chemical Biology has now been fused with BMC Biochemistry. Due to the overlap in the scope of the two journals we feel that authors in this area would be best served if chemical biology was specifically incorporated into the scope of BMC Biochemistry. BMC Biochemistry now has a new Chemical Biology section with the following scope:
The Chemical Biology section considers submissions covering the application of chemistry to the investigation of biological processes and systems including the biosynthesis and metabolism of natural compounds, drug design and complex molecular rearrangements occurring in living organisms.
We are delighted that many of the esteemed members of the BMC Chemical Biology Editorial Board have agreed to join the new section.
